Welcome!

This is space where we share thoughtful insights into mental health and emotional wellbeing. We have over thirty therapists working from the clinic providing a range of evidence-based and complementary approaches, working in-person and online with clients. We believe mental health deserves the same care, attention, and openness as physical health. In our clinical work, we see time and time again how mental health is as vital as physical health, and how closely the two are intertwined. Our aim in writing this blog is to offer reliable information, practical tips, and reflective insights drawn from both professional knowledge and lived clinical (and personal/real-world) experiences. We are committed to challenging the stigma that can still prevent people from seeking support; normalising the struggles many of us face, and supporting more open, compassionate conversations about wellbeing. This blog is led by our clinical director, Helen, who is a nurse and therapist with over 30 years’ experience working in the field of mental health. With a specialism in trauma, and helping those struggling with stress anxiety and depression, her work integrates therapies such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). Helen has also trained in holistic complementary therapies. This integrative approach reflects our shared belief that effective therapy considers the whole person; our mind, our nervous system, our body, our relationships, our environment… and that healing is not one-size-fits-all. Alongside posts from Helen, we hope that other therapists working within the clinic will contribute guest blogs, sharing their own areas of expertise and perspectives across different therapeutic modalities. Together, we aim to create a supportive, informative space for anyone interested in understanding their own (or other’s) mental health or finding ways to care for their wellbeing.

We invite you to explore these posts at your own pace; to reflect, to learn, and to take from it what feels helpful for you. Whether you are seeking understanding, reassurance, looking for self-help tips or considering reaching out for support, we hope this space helps you feel less alone and more empowered to care for your mental health.
